Spergon W. Hunt is a finance professional with over 25 years’ experience in the private and public sectors, working in fields including engineering, transportation, mining and education, among others. He is currently an accountant with the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, a nonpartisan, private charitable foundation that advances ideas and supports institutions to promote a better world. He is also the Co-Founder and President of Jion Academy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to a holistic approach to personal development.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern California and an MBA in management from Golden Gate University. He has served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of California Berkeley Extension Program, Ohlone College and Golden Gate University. He is a martial artist and community activist, primarily involved in faith-based approaches to healing fractured communities. He lives in Emeryville with his wife and daughter.
